In Honour and Memory of Dr. Martin Lings

The exhibition ‘The Spirit Illuminated’ is dedicated to the late Dr. Martin Lings, Shaykh Abu Bakr Siraj ad-Din, whose insight and teaching has guided and inspired the Thesaurus Islamicus Foundation in all its work with the sacred arts of the Holy Qur’an.

The exhibition includes the Editio Electrum Tradigital Prints alongside some of the finest medieval Qur’ans, simultaneously displayed in three different countries; the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Each of which will show its best Qur’an masterpieces. The Thesaurus Islamicus Foundation’s design studio, Editio Electrum, is pleased to present in this exhibition the Mamluk and Ilkhanid Masterpieces Collection of twelve double page Tradigital Prints based on selected openings from the finest medieval Qur’an manuscripts in Cairo’s Dar al-Kutub (the National Library and Archives of Egypt). The twelve pairs of Editio Electrum Tradigital Prints are available for sale as a complete boxed set in a limited edition of two hundred and twenty-five.
